Our Retired Adults
Riley
Riley is our gorgeous phantom miniature poodle. This boy has been just a joy to show. Riley easily earned his Champion and then moved right along and is now a GRAND CHAMPION! WOOT WOOT!
Riley’s sire is out of Lori Maxwell’s Kameo Poodles. Such a fun boy -it’s been a great year taking him out and titling him!
And we couldn’t be more thrilled and excited that he is the 2019 #1 in UKC Top Ten for Multi-Colored Poodles!
Riley has been tested for the following: hips, patellas, heart, eyes, dentition and genetic disease traits.
DJ
This is DJ or Daijon and he comes to us from Shyre’s Poodles. Isn’t he dreamy?! DJ is a Standard boy that is about 24-25″ at the withers and about 50 pounds of pure handsome. We think he is AMAZING and we LOVE HIM! DJ is not only gorgeous with a beautiful temperament but he is also a great testament to the fact that you CAN have diversity AND have conformation. He earned his UKC Championship and 4 of his 5 legs for his Grand before COVID hit. We finally got out to a show later in the year and got that last leg. He is now a UKC Grand Champion! We are very excited to use this boy in our program! Update: DJ is now retired from our program due to Jennifer’s spinal surgery and inability to groom or care for standards as easily. He has joined our friend’s program at MoJazz Poodles.
Aubrey
Aubrey is our keeper from our Poppy/Barry litter and we are just thrilled with her! Not only does she have nice structure and temperament, she is exactly the genetically diverse outlier we’d hoped for from this breeding according to her VGL testing reports – testing that tells us amazing things about how inbred or outbred our poodles are and how to breed for diversity leading to greater health in our purebreds. This is similiar to programs being used in zoos across the world for conservation and it amazes me we have access to such an amazing tool! Aubrey earned her UKC Championship and 2 Champion of Champion wins towards her Grand Championship. She is also a Best in Show winner and a RBIS! Update: Aubrey is now retired from our program due to Jennifer’s spinal surgery and inability to groom or care for standards as easily. She has joined our friend’s program at MoJazz Poodles.
Larry
Talk about big personality in a smaller package- that’s our miniature male UKC CH Larry who’s name comes from Impractical Jokers on TV.
Looking to add diversity to our Standard Poodle genetics, we’ve purchased Larry for stud and expect some amazing babies from him that will also be on the smaller side.
Miniature Poodles tend to be “happier” than their Standard counterparts but the Standard gives a nice off button making the best of both worlds.
Poppy
Poppy is a gorgeous and very correct brindle parti and if you’ve never seen one, we have a photo included that shows her pretty stripes that make up her patches of color. We also love her crazy multi colored ticking- those are the little spots of color all over her- she has brindle polka dots and patches! Poppy is mother to our Aubrey.
Barry
Never was there such a boy as Barry who can have such zest for life and yet still be so loving, kind and gentle. He knows when to be calm and when to burst with joy! Barry was extremely special to the MnJ program because he was our first purchase post VGL Diversity testing to help bring true genetic diversity to our Standard Poodles. This is a theme you will hear from us always and Barry’s testig scores were of course a home run. Barry is just 19″ and 28 pounds on most days and is a blend of European Moyen lines with traditional Standard lines creating a lovely size of smaller Standard that we prefer here. Barry is the father to Aubrey and Joy here at MnJ.
Loo Loo
Loo Loo is out of our very own breeding and we are thrilled with the results so far – this girl illustrates the saying that big things come in small packages perfectly!
Gorgeous brown parti with a sweet and sassy disposition, Loo Loo had no problems earning her UKC Champion at just six months of age and is now a UKC Grand Champion – despite only competing in five shows she also made UKC TOP 10 sneaking into the very last spot after a fantastic December show!
***Missy Loo Loo has now passed all of her genetic testing, CERF and Cardiac and has been VGL tested.***
Ginger
Another home bred beauty for MnJ from Portia – we’ve had some of our very best service dogs come from Portia and Ginger has the same super easy going and happy go lucky personality in a lovely aprcot abstract pattern. We are looking to continue with her outstanding temperament in the future.
Ginger is currently working on her UKC Champion title and has hips, genetic disease panel, Baer, Cardiac and VGL completed.
Trauma
Trauma was one of the foundations here and quickly became Jenn’s heart dog. Her looks are dramatically lovely and it’s not enough for her to cuddle close for rubs, she needs to press into your neck or chest and breathe you in deeply. To her, there is nothing better than those moments. She embodies the trait in Standard Poodles that is highly tuned and sensitive to every nuance about their owners which we think is a part of what makes Poodles so unique and special. Trauma gave us beautlful service and therapy dogs and we have a beautiful bitch out of her in the care of our good friend Ann Conrad who represents the best of her mother for the future.
